About

Words and images are the currency of my world.

By day, I inspect homes and create digital content for businesses and publications.

By night, it’s all about fiction. The people I’ve met and the wisps of conversation I’ve heard transform into characters and plot lines in my head. It’s been this way since I was a child. After decades of scribbling stories to amuse myself and friends online, I’m now over-the-moon happy to be preparing my first in a series of contemporary romance novels for publication.

I’ve had a life-long love affair with buildings. Can’t pass a construction site without taking a look. This lead me to architecture school and fifteen years of work as an architectural draftsman and designer in New York City. When I reflect on those days, I don’t remember much about the buildings being designed. But God, do I treasure the stories that were told in those drafting rooms, and the parade of colorful personalities who traveled through the offices and job sites where I worked.

In 2022, I added a new skill to my stack. I became a licensed home inspector. From the moment I began my training, I was overjoyed to find myself among people of the building trades again.

The peak experience of my childhood was spending summers in Harriman State Park and the Hudson Valley. Early on, I developed a visceral attachment to everything about the land, from its colors to its fragrance to the way it feels beneath my feet. This love has only intensified as I’ve grown older. I pour that love into the fictional towns I’ve created, located in the Catskill Mountains.

If there’s not a blizzard or a monsoon happening, my husband and I are outdoors at dawn, every day of the week, all year round, on our morning walks. It’s on these walks that I’ve met some of the most inspiring, fun and fascinating people I know.
